Aerial photographs of the monuments of the Butrint National Park, and several excavation seasons 2005-2009, were taken from a remotely operated camera mounted on a kite and a piloted "paramotor". A small sample of the latter images held by the Butrint Foundation Archive, photographed by Alket Islami, can be seen below.
